The Union Public Service Commission held a special meeting on May 20, 2020, to review the situation after the third phase of the nation-wide restrictions and lockdown, due to COVID-19. Taking notice of the extension of several restrictions, the Commission decided that it will not be possible to resume examinations and interviews, for the present.
The Commission, however, took note of the progressive relaxations being announced by the Central Government and various States and has decided to review the situation once more, after the fourth period of lockdown. With a view to giving some clarity to candidates of various examinations and interviews, which have been deferred over the last two months, the Commission will issue a revised schedule of examinations in its next meeting to be held on June 5, 2020. Details of the new calendar of examinations will be published on the UPSC website, after the Commission’s meeting on June 5, 2020.
New Exam Date of NDA 1 2020:
It is clear in the press note released today by UPSC that the National Defence Academy (NDA 1 2020) Examination has already been postponed till further intimation. New dates may be announced if the situation gets normal after 4th lockdown in the country. Any other decision of the Commission in respect of all the Examinations, Interviews, and Recruitment Boards will be promptly made available on the Commission’s website after review in the meeting to be held after the 4th lockdown on June 5, 2020.
All the schools and colleges in the country will be shut down including all non-essential services. This will affect all the government exams as well and most of the government exams scheduled in April 2020 will be postponed.
There is no official confirmation by UPSC on NDA 1 2020 new exam date, as per the current situation if everything goes well, it might happen in Aug-Sep 2020, we will also monitor this closely and update our aspirants as soon as we get an official announcement from UPSC. We suggest all the aspirants focus on the NDA exam preparation, we also request all the young aspirants to stay at home and maintain social distancing.
