RIMC Dehradun- Admission Procedure:
Approximately 25 cadets are admitted in RIMC Dehradun every six months. Candidates applying for the admission should not be less than 11½ years of age or must not have attained the age of 13 on 01 (Jan) or 01 (July) of the term they join in. Admissions in RIMC Dehradun are taken in Class VIII only. The candidate must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII from a recognised school at the time of joining. Application forms can be received from RIMC directly or through speed post. After filling the application forms are to be submitted to the respective State Governments. Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their performance in an All India Entrance Examination held twice a year comprising a written examination of question papers in English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks) and General Knowledge (75 Marks), Successful candidates are called for Viva-Voce test (50 marks).

Medical Standards:

PANORAMA:
A lot of old buildings on campus are in the Faux Tudor style. Some of them are more than one hundred years old. The Cadets live in dorms in these beautiful buildings, which also have a mess hall and a dining hall for meals. The Library named after the legendary Old Boy, Major Somnath Sharma, who was posthumously bestowed the first Param Vir Chakra, the highest Gallantry Award in 1948, has a collection of over 18000 books, journals, magazines and some rare priceless manuscripts. Catering to the academic life of the students, there are separate alcoves, appropriately lit for browsing and reading to enrich young minds in a relaxed environment.
COMPUTER CENTRE:
