General Awareness: Go through the current affairs of the last 3-4 months thoroughly, it can play your trump card to score well in this section. To cover the current affairs newspaper is the best source. Read any good newspaper daily and make notes of it, you may also read some good monthly magazines for the current affairs section.
Numerical Ability: Keep your concepts clear on the topics like Percentage, Age relation, Partnership, Average, SI & CI, Time & Work to score marks easily, in this section in minimum time. This section is very scoring and can help you to get good marks. In this section, your speed and accuracy will play a major role, so do more and more practice to solve a variety of questions to have a good grip over this section.
English: To have an upper hand in this section go through the idioms and phrases, antonyms & synonyms, and try to cover the English section of the last 5 years of papers.
Reasoning: Have a clear understanding of topics like Cube, Paper folding, 2-D and 3-D rotation of images and mirror images, embedded figures and dots & situation.

Attempt previous year papers and mock tests:
Regular practice is the best way to crack any exam. To keep your practice accurate and streamlined previous year’s test papers and mock tests help a lot. This will help you in time management and also help you to do your self-assessment. By solving a variety of questions during practice helps you to increase your knowledge strength.
Go through the AFCAT previous year papers to get through with the types of questions asked in the exam and prepare accordingly.
The hurdle of Cut-Offs:
- The cut-offs of the AFCAT exam can easily be cleared with consistent practice and hard work.
- The difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate hence if you prepare well, it would not be a hurdle to clear the cut-off.

The static part of the GK section in AFCAT exam can be easily aced if you go through the Lucent’s General Knowledge book.
